DescriptionBerkley School District is looking for a Permanent Building Substitute Teacher to support in-person learning to middle school students. Permanent Building Substitute Teachers will report daily to their assigned school and take on classroom duties in case of a daily or extended teacher absence. They will teach prepared lessons or prepare their own instructional materials. The main duty is to ensure that students receive the required instruction according to the school's curriculum.
They may also need to maintain student records regarding grades and attendance, assign and grade homework and class assignments, and consult with administrators on their responsibilities during the primary teacher's absence. This role requires excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to interpret prepared lessons and successfully instruct students using these materials. In the event that all classrooms are covered, Permanent Building Substitute Teachers may be assigned other roles and duties in the building as determined by the Principal.
