As an Electrical & Automation Engineer, you are responsible for all electrical and automation activities during your assigned shift. You plan, manage, and execute projects, including procurement and technical specifications. You collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical, automation, MES, and digital systems. You provide technical expertise, troubleshoot issues, and train factory operators and technicians.

Your role also includes programming support, commissioning activities, and ensuring environmental and operational safety in all areas of responsibility.

Work Schedule

Night shift schedule: 2/2/3, 12‑hour shift from 6:00 pm to 6:30 am.

Primary Responsibilities Develop Engineering Skills
  • Enhance technical skills through ongoing learning and training programs.
  • Assist in creating technical materials for personnel operating/maintaining E&A equipment.
  • Participate in competency assessments and identify areas for improvement.
Support Process Improvements
  • Gain a thorough understanding of processes and provide support identifying improvements.
  • Work with senior engineers to implement solutions to enhance quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Contribute ideas to protect technological know-how and competitive advantage.
Assist in Operation and Maintenance
  • Support the implementation of maintenance strategies, tools, and methodologies at the site.
  • Ensure the safe and reliable operation of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Learn to utilize digital technologies to drive reliability and process improvements.
Ensure Compliance and Documentation
  • Ensure E&A installations comply with safety, health, environment, and quality standards.
  • Support the maintenance of up-to-date E&A documentation, including electrical drawings.
  • Learn to manage change processes for modifications involving E&A systems.
Contribute to Sustainability Efforts
  • Participate in factory sustainability objectives, including energy and water savings initiatives.
  • Support the tracking and reporting of results from improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to drive sustainable practices within the organization.
Assist in Asset Management
  • Learn about the factory's asset portfolio to identify end‑of‑life and replacement requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining awareness of asset conditions for capital planning purposes.
  • Support decision‑making processes considering asset performance and cost competitiveness.
Support Industrialization Projects
  • Assist in the execution of capital investment projects involving the E&A area.
  • Follow corporate and market standards while working on technical solutions.
  • Contribute to project teams to ensure delivery with expected quality, schedule, and budget.
Requirements and

Minimum Education Level

Bachelor or Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.

Experience
  • 3-5 years of electrical engineering experience required in a manufacturing facility in the Food and Beverage industry, or other Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
Preferred
  • 3 years experience as a Plant Electrical or Project E&A Engineer in a Food industry.
  • Knowledge of electrical distribution systems (low, medium and high voltage installations).
  • Experience with Wonderware Intouch/Archestra systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems and SAP.
