Position SummaryThe Residential Recovery Technician will provide substance use/behavioral health related services to clients and their families in a residential setting to achieve the client’s identified goals in accordance with Aspire’s substance use disorder treatment philosophy. The Technician will also provide a strength-based approach in assisting the client in connecting with recovery community supports and community resources. In addition, this position will work with the client on developing a Relapse Recovery Plan and developing the skills necessary to decrease and/or eliminate substance use.
Education and Experience- High School Diploma/Equivalent and one (1) year of related experience preferred or two (2) years of substance use disorder experience required.
- Knowledge in addiction and how addiction impacts an individual and their family highly preferred.
- Work experience in a health care setting, preferably Addiction Treatment or Mental Health, a plus.
- Trained in Motivational Interviewing and Trauma Informed Care, a plus.
- Certification as Peer Addiction Recovery Coach, a plus.
