Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Be visible, greet, engage, and assist customers.
• Process transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handle various tenders, and follow company policies.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and work honestly to control loss.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items and report discrepancies.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Follow food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Identify and report unsafe conditions or accidents.
• Maintain equipment and notify management of repairs.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers.
• Follow all laws and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment.
• Manage conflicts professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when needed.
• Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Customer service experience
• Effective communication skills
• Basic math knowledge (counting, addition, subtraction)

Desired Previous Job Experience:

• Customer service experience
• Experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk
