Surveillance Operator - Full Time (Harrah's Hoosier Park)

Monitors and reacts to security situations, safety issues, illegal activities, internal procedural violations, and regulatory infractions.

• Maintain strict confidentiality related to the surveillance system and operation.
• Report any activities that may affect business, reputation, safety, or compliance to the supervisor or manager.
• Observe monitor screens transmitting views of gaming and land‑based sites.
• Adjust monitor controls to improve reception and notify technician of equipment malfunctions.
• Follow instructions and assignments given by shift supervisors and manager; inform supervisor of issues as they occur and react accordingly.
• Maintain close surveillance of all gaming and non‑gaming activities to identify, record, and document illegal or unusual activities on floor, slot area, slot booths, count rooms, vault, and cage.
• Report all illegal and unusual activities to supervisor or appropriate authority.
• Complete all written reports required during shift.
• Other duties may be assigned at any time.

• High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Outgoing, energetic, and enthusiastic attitude; comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with guests.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple correspondence; present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations.
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide in whole numbers, fractions, decimals).
• Common sense reasoning to carry out instructions.
• Physically able to sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 lbs, and stay alert for entire shift; meets vision requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years of age, obtain and maintain an Indiana Gaming Commission License, and pass a drug test.

Noise level usually quiet but can be hectic and stressful; may be exposed to second‑hand smoke. Must be able to stay awake and alert for entire shift.
