Position: New Con Service Technician

About the job New Con Service Technician

Purpose: The HVAC New Construction Technician supports the completion and turnover of new construction projects by performing system start-ups, addressing fix-it items, and assisting with equipment setting as needed. This role ensures HVAC systems are installed correctly, operate as designed, and meet company quality, safety, and documentation standards while providing occasional warranty support.

Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Perform start-up procedures on newly installed HVAC systems.
  • Identify and correct installation issues discovered during inspections or start-ups.
  • Complete occasional warranty-related service work on new construction homes.
  • Assist with setting HVAC equipment, including indoor units, outdoor units, furnaces, and air handlers, as needed.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation in Service Titan.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines, company standards, and industry best practices, maintaining professionalism on every call.
  • Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles in clean, safe, and professional condition.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours service as scheduled.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • 2+ years of residential HVAC service experience preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across a variety of residential systems.
  • EPA Certification (Type II or Universal) required; NATE certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to explain technical findings clearly.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and complete tasks with attention to detail.
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
  • High level of professionalism, reliability, and integrity.
  • Ability to work in various environments including attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor conditions.
  • Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and continuous learning.
