We are partnering with an established organization seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join its finance team. This is a senior-level individual contributor opportunity for someone who brings a strong combination of accounting knowledge, financial analysis, and business partnership.
Working closely with the Finance Director, this individual will serve as a key resource to the business—helping analyze financial performance, ensure accuracy of reporting, and communicate meaningful financial information to leadership. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, driven, and comfortable taking ownership in a role with significant visibility and responsibility.
Essential Duties and Functions- Partner closely with the Finance Director as a key financial resource to the business.
- Analyze financial results, trends, and variances to identify key drivers and provide meaningful insights to leadership.
- Support financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and other planning activities.
- Review and approve journal entries and other accounting activity, ensuring accuracy and appropriate supporting documentation.
- Support project accounting and percentage-of-completion (POC) accounting, including related revenue recognition and financial analysis.
- Review financial information for accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and proactively identify areas requiring attention.
- Prepare and communicate financial analyses, reports, and recommendations to business and senior leadership.
- Partner cross-functionally to understand business performance and support operational and financial decision-making.
- Assist with special projects, process improvements, and other finance initiatives as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Approximately 10+ years of progressive accounting and/or financial analysis experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with percentage-of-completion, project accounting, or similar project-based revenue recognition strongly preferred.
- Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills.
- Experience operating at a senior individual contributor level with the ability to independently own and review work.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong drive, initiative, and ability to follow through on responsibilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate financial information to leadership.
- Ability to balance detailed accounting work with broader financial and business analysis.
- Step into a high-impact role working closely with the Finance Director and serving as a trusted resource to the business.
- Gain meaningful exposure to business and senior leadership while helping influence financial decision‑making.
