Hematology/Oncology Opening in Anderson, South CarolinaA fellowship-trained Hematologist/Oncologist is needed for a cancer center located in Anderson, South Carolina. The practice is situated along the South Carolina National Heritage Corridor in a rapidly growing, diverse community of approximately 185,000 residents.About the OpportunityFull-time position in a state-of-the-art cancer center supporting outpatient care, clinic visits, and limited hospital rounding.Position Highlights-Candidates may be Board Eligible or Board Certified;
Board Certification is highly preferred-Provider will be onsite alone the majority of the time until a second physician is hired-Full-time schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (32+ patient-facing hours)-Cover practice call and inpatient oncology patients (no weekend call)-Service is in a rebuilding phase-Desired start date: ASAP-Approximately 1,200 new cancer cases per year-Average 15-25 patients per day-Trauma Level II facility-State-of-the-art cancer center with accreditation from the Commission on Cancer since 1984-On-site: radiation oncology, infusion center (24 bays), on-site pharmacist-On-site laboratory and Epic EMR-Access to national clinical trials (UC-NCORP)-Supportive leadership and collegial environment-Family-oriented community with low cost of living and strong recreational offerings-Full-time permanent position requiring local residencyCandidate Parameters-Open to H1B and J1 visa candidates-Not accepting locums candidates-Not accepting candidates needing to reestablish lapsed board certification-Not open to 1099 arrangements-Not open to commuters or individuals seeking secondary employmentCompensation and Benefits-Competitive Compensation.
