The Electrical Engineer II will lead the design and implementation of embedded systems in Outdoor Equipment category. You will work through the product development process in a team environment interacting with cross-functional stakeholders such as hardware, firmware, product development, and test engineers. This position will sit onsite at our headquarters in Anderson, South Carolina.
Responsibilities- Design hardware and firmware of electronics for the outdoor products: design, prototype, test and troubleshoot embedded electronics for mid to high complexity projects
- Use laboratory equipment to debug and develop your design with oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, spectrum analyzers, ESD/EMC, data acquisition systems, and analysis software
- Effectively communicate and motivate up, down and across the organization to a diverse range of technical and non-technical team members
- Drive urgency in project schedules and accountability for establishing and achieving key project metrics that meet the organization’s needs
- Independently track projects to ensure adherence to schedule and the TTi’s stage-gate product development process
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in the Embedded Electronics design field, including 32-bit microcontroller-based circuits
- Demonstrated design experience in motor drives in embedded hardware and firmware implementations; brushless motors knowledge would be a plus
- Self-motivated, organized, efficient, process oriented with a strong work ethic
- Excellent problem-solving skills, exercises independent judgement and works well under pressure in a dynamic environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
