DefinitionVehicle Supply Technician is responsible for fueling, cleaning, stocking ambulances, receiving medical, cleaning and shop supplies, inventorying and stocking medical supply closets at AOC, ambulance stations, and sub‑stations.
LocationAnderson, SC
Reports ToOperations Supervisor or Manager, as appropriate.
Specific Duties- Displays complete knowledge, understanding and compliance of company policies and procedures.
- Daily ensures that assigned vehicles are prepared for use by field crews, including:
- Fully fueling ambulances.
- Cleaning the exterior, interior, and equipment of ambulances.
- Stocking ambulances with appropriate medical equipment and supplies.
- Performing deep cleaning and decontamination of ambulances per SOP.
- Maintaining security of buildings, vehicles, equipment, medications, and all company property.
- Ensuring confidentiality and privacy of all patient and company information in accordance with HIPAA and company policy.
- Safeguarding company computer systems by adhering to security procedures and password policies.
- Performing daily inspections of the work area for cleanliness and carrying out necessary housekeeping duties.
- Assisting operations management in inventorying, ordering, receiving, stocking, and issuing medical, office, and shop equipment and supplies.
- Adhering to Universal Precautions and Infection Control policies when operating, cleaning, and stocking ambulances.
- Conducting required recertifications in CPR and First Aid and maintaining all other necessary licenses and certifications.
- Acting with personal safety and the safety of others in mind at all times.
- Reporting to assigned shifts with proper grooming, attire, and punctuality; remaining on duty until properly relieved.
- Following all company goals, objectives, and procedures daily.
- Performing other duties as directed by management.
- High degree of personal integrity and responsibility.
- High School Diploma or GED Certification.
- State motor vehicle operator’s license and clean driving record approved by the company vehicle liability insurer.
- Successfully completed a CEVO Ambulance driver safety classroom and practical course.
- Completed a CPR course by the AHA (or equivalent) within 30 days of hire.
- Completed a First Aid course by the ARC (or equivalent) within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, using good judgment.
- The ability to reach, push, and pull.
- The ability to sit or stand for long periods.
- The ability to walk up and down stairs without difficulty.
- The ability to bend, stoop, squat, and kneel for long periods.
- The ability to walk a distance of one quarter of a mile without difficulty.
- The ability to complete all job duties during any and all hours of the day and night.
- The ability to lift and maneuver 150 pounds without difficulty.
- The ability to lift and maneuver 150 pounds up and down two flights of stairs without difficulty.
