POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an EHRT Programmer to support manufacturing operations by programming and optimizing automated equipment, including 3- to 6-axis machinery, punch, and bending systems. This role is responsible for interpreting engineering prints, creating and modifying machine programs, and ensuring programs meet production, quality, and safety requirements. The EHRT Programmer works closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to support efficient and accurate manufacturing processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop, edit, and optimize machine programs for 3- to 6-axis equipment, including punch and bending operations.
- Interpret and apply engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to create accurate machine programs.
- Set up, test, and validate programs to ensure proper operation, part accuracy, and repeatability.
- Troubleshoot programming and process issues to minimize downtime and improve production efficiency.
- Maintain and update program files, documentation, and revision records.
- Collaborate with engineering, tooling, and production teams to support new product introductions and process improvements.
- Ensure programming activities comply with safety, quality, and production standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to programming efficiency, cycle time reduction, and scrap reduction.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Demonstrated experience programming 3- to 6-axis equipment, including punch or bending machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering prints and technical drawings.
- Basic computer literacy, including use of programming software and standard office applications.
- Experience with Solid Works or equivalent CAD software required.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Associate degree in Mechatronics or a related technical field.
- Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Familiarity with CNC controls, tooling, and fixtures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized processes.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment around machinery and equipment.
- Frequent standing, walking, and use of computer workstations.
- Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
