American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of experience and ortho skills.

• Medical Surgical unit (4 South) within a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (18:45-7:15)
• Every other weekend required
• Float required to other Med/Surg units and Tele units as needed
• Part of a resource pool floating across 5 MS and 4 Tele units

• Active SC or compact RN license required, pending license accepted but must be obtained prior to starting
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, and peripheral line care
• Experience with starting and maintaining IVs preferred
• Experience with colostomy/ileostomy management and feeding tube care
• CVA/neurological care experience preferred
• Experience with Heparin and PCA medication administration
• Experience with isolation precautions and PPE
• Experience with nasal cannula and oxygen administration
• Ortho trauma and total joint replacement experience required
• Experience with surgical drain management
• Telemetry/remote cardiac monitoring experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience

• Care for Med/Surg and Med/Surg-Tele patient populations
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Staff RNs previously employed at the facility are not eligible to return as travelers
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restriction
