Finance Manager

An established and successful business based in the Andover area is looking for an experienced Financial Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day finance function, alongside providing support with HR administration.

This is a hands-on position suited to someone who is organised, commercially aware and comfortable taking ownership of a broad range of accounting and administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and deliver accurate monthly management accounts to the senior management team.
Manage fortnightly payroll and monthly salaries, ensuring everything is processed accurately and on time.
Take responsibility for the sales and purchase ledgers, supporting effective cash flow management.
Complete relevant HMRC, Companies House and other statutory reporting requirements.
Reconcile variances and ensure financial information is accurate and delivered within agreed deadlines.
Maintain accurate and confidential HR records.
Provide administrative support to the Commercial Manager on a range of HR-related activities.
Maintain the security and confidentiality of sensitive financial and employee information.
Use and maintain established Sage Accounts and Sage Payroll systems.
Work closely with senior management and colleagues across the business.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant finance, payroll and HR requirements.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

AAT qualification or equivalent.
Strong practical experience across accounts and finance administration.
Experience using Sage Accounts and Sage Payroll.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Experience with payroll, management accounts, ledgers and statutory reporting.
Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to work effectively at all levels of an organisation.
A proactive and self-motivated approach, with a strong focus on completing tasks accurately and on time.
The ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
A full UK driving licence would be desirable.
