Support Coordinator

We are currently recruiting for an organised and proactive Support Coordinator to join a growing care and support service in Andover. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administration, coordination and communication skills who enjoys working in a busy environment and wants to make a genuine difference to people with learning disabilities and support needs.

The Role As a Support Coordinator, you will play a key role in coordinating support workers and ensuring visits are scheduled effectively. You will work closely with the Service Manager, Team Managers, Supervisors and support workers to ensure the people we support receive the right level of care at the right time. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate rotas and scheduling systems, coordinating staff cover and ensuring commissioned support hours are delivered effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate support workers and schedule visits for the people we support.
  • Prepare, manage and distribute staff rotas and visit schedules.
  • Ensure people supported are aware of any changes to their planned visits.
  • Maintain accurate information on the Access People Planner system.
  • Act as a key user and system expert for People Planner.
  • Monitor commissioned hours and highlight any shortfalls or over-delivery.
  • Ensure effective staff utilisation and appropriate staffing levels.
  • Coordinate annual leave requests and arrange appropriate cover.
  • Minimise agency usage and obtain authorisation where agency staff are required.
  • Maintain accurate contract information to support correct invoicing.
  • Prepare on-call information, handover documents and visit lists.
  • Analyse key performance data and provide reports to management.
  • Communicate effectively with support workers, managers and the people receiving support.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Service Manager as required.
About You

We are looking for someone who is highly organised, confident with IT and able to remain calm and professional in a busy environment.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience working with computerised systems and databases.
  • Strong administration or office-based experience.
  • Experience with in customer service or a similar coordination environment.
  • Ideally, experience working with people with learning disabilities or an understanding of their support needs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
  • A patient, understanding and professional approach.
  • A genuine commitment to delivering an excellent service.

You will need to be comfortable working as part of a wider team, communicating with multiple stakeholders and responding quickly when changes to staffing or service delivery occur.
