Overview We are looking for a reliable and safety-focused Bus Shunter to join our team in Andover. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe movement, parking, and positioning of buses within the depot. A valid PSV licence is essential, as you will be required to move vehicles of various sizes on-site and occasionally off-site.

Key Responsibilities Vehicle Movement
Safely move, manoeuvre, and park buses within the depot and yard areas.
Position buses for maintenance, fuelling, cleaning, inspections, and service runs.
Assist with moving buses to external locations when required.

Depot Operations Support
Ensure buses are positioned correctly for engineering teams and cleaning crews.
Assist with basic vehicle checks including fluid levels, tyre condition, lights, and defects.
Support the operation of fuelling and wash machines if required.

Safety & Compliance
Always follow depot safety procedures and traffic flow rules.
Report any vehicle defects, damage, or hazards immediately.
Ensure all movements comply with company and legal safety standards.

General Duties
Keep shunting areas clear, tidy, and safe.
Assist the depot team with additional tasks when needed (e.g., cleaning, yard organisation).
Work collaboratively with engineers, drivers, and cleaning teams.

Requirements Essential:
Valid PSV (Passenger Service Vehicle) licence.
Confident and competent in moving large vehicles safely.
Strong awareness of depot safety and traffic procedures.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills and attention to detail.

Desirable:
Previous experience as a Bus Shunter or working in a depot/transport environment.
Basic mechanical awareness.
