About the Role
We are seeking an English Teacher to join a secondary school in Salisbury. This long‑term position begins in January and will run until Easter in the first instance, with the strong possibility of continuing through to July 2026.
You will be teaching Key Stage 3 English, with some
Key Stage 4 included on the timetable. Planning and resources will be provided, allowing you to focus on delivering engaging, high‑quality lessons that build students’ confidence, literacy skills, and enjoyment of English. The school welcomes applications from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs). Overseas‑trained teachers with experience of the UK curriculum are also encouraged to apply.

Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Recent experience teaching English in UK secondary schools.
Strong classroom management and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
Passionate about English, with the ability to deliver creative and inspiring lessons.
Experience teaching KS3 essential; KS4 experience desirable.
