Maths Teacher
SEN School, Andover - September 2026 start
OverviewAcademics are recruiting on behalf of a residential SEN school in Andover which caters for young people aged 11-19 years with a primary diagnosis of autism, complex needs and challenging behaviour. All young people have an EHCP.
They are looking to appoint a passionate and engaging Maths Teacher with QTS to join them on a full-time contract starting in September.
They currently have 38 students on roll. Class sizes are no more than 6 pupils in a class.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver Maths lessons across the school.
- Tailor lessons to meet individual learning needs of students with SEN, ideally those with autism/aspergers syndrome.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
- Qualified teacher with QTS in Maths.
- Experience of teaching children with SEN, ideally autism/aspergers syndrome.
- Calm, empathetic, and nurturing demeanor.
- Full-time contract.
- Small class sizes (≤6 pupils) enabling tailored instruction.
- Residential setting in a large country house within 8 acres of grounds.
