Primary Teacher/KS2 Teacher – SEN School, Andover

September 2026 start – Permanent position

Academics is recruiting on behalf of a residential SEN school in Andover which caters for young people aged 11-19 years with a primary diagnosis of autism, complex needs and challenging behaviour. All young people have an EHCP.

They are seeking a committed and creative Primary Teacher to join their dedicated team. You will play a key role in establishing their new Key Stage 2 provision, delivering engaging and adaptable lessons that build confidence, curiosity, and success in learners with additional needs.

• Deliver high-quality teaching within their Key Stage 2 provision.
• Support students to access the National Curriculum at an appropriate level.
• Adapt teaching to meet individual EHCP outcomes.
• Motivate and engage learners through inclusive, creative practice.
• Provide meaningful feedback to support progress and build confidence.
• Contribute to enrichment and the wider life of the school.
• Work collaboratively within a skilled and forward‑thinking team.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching at Key Stage 2
• Strong classroom management and a flexible, responsive teaching style
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A genuine passion for working with young people with SEND
• A collaborative mindset and commitment to whole-school values
• Experience in curriculum development (desirable)
• Enth for shaping a new and evolving provision

The main school building in Andover is a large country house set in 8 acres of grounds which provide a beautiful and secure setting for outdoor activities.
