Supply Desk are working closely with a welcoming and supportive SEN school in Andover, who are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.

About the SchoolThis friendly and inclusive SEN school caters for pupils aged 4-16 with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Responsibilities- Support students inside and outside the classroom, helping to deliver personalised learning, promote independence and encourage positive social and emotional development.
- Assist with one-to-one support and small group activities as required.
- Support the development of positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals to meet individual pupil needs.
- Experience working with children or young people with additional needs (desirable but not essential).
- Patience, care and a passion for supporting pupils with SEN.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
- Experience supporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
