Job Summary
* * GSP is seeking an Environmental Advisor to provide expert guidance and support on environmental compliance, risk management, and sustainability initiatives across our operations.

Job Responsibilities *
* * Develop, implement, and maintain environmental management systems (EMS) in accordance with ISO 14001 standards.

* Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and support the preparation of environmental permits and licenses.

* Ensure compliance with all relevant national and international environmental legislation, regulations, and company policies.

* Monitor environmental performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.

* Provide environmental training and awareness programs to employees at all levels.

* Investigate environmental incidents, determine root causes, and recommend preventive measures.

* Liaise with regulatory bodies, stakeholders, and external consultants on environmental matters.

* Support the development and implementation of sustainability strategies and initiatives.

* Prepare and present regular environmental performance reports to management.

* Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to environmental standards.
Job Qualifications *
* * Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

* Minimum of 5 years of experience in an environmental advisory or management role, preferably within the oil and gas or heavy industry sectors.

* In-depth knowledge of environmental legislation, regulations, and international standards (e.g., ISO 14001).

* Proven experience in developing and implementing environmental management systems.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct EIAs and risk assessments.

* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

* Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites as required.

* Professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH Environmental Diploma) are highly desirable.
