Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our dynamic and growing team. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this pivotal role supports CCS’s growth, overseeing financial operations, delivering insightful financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with financial standards.
Key Responsibilities- Month-End Process Ownership:
Lead and ensure timely and accurate completion of the month-end close process. - Statutory Accounts Preparation:
Assist in the preparation of compliant statutory accounts. - VAT Returns:
Ensure timely and accurate VAT submissions in compliance with HMRC requirements. - Control Accounts & Payroll:
Maintain precise control accounts and handle payroll-related financial transactions effectively. - Full ownership of the Purchase ledger function ensuring smooth operation and full compliance with business KPI’s
- Segmental Reporting & Analysis:
Provide detailed analysis across four work streams, identifying trends and opportunities through variance analysis. - Management Information Pack:
Support the creation of clear, concise management reports for leadership and stakeholders. - Budget vs. Actual Comparison:
Analyse performance against budget, addressing variances and recommending corrective actions. - Forecasting & FP&A:
Support the business forecasting process and contribute to financial planning and analysis to align with strategic objectives.
- Proven experience in a similar Finance Manager or Management Accountant role in a fast-paced, growing business.
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and statutory account preparation.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Proficient in Excel and financial management software.
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication skills, able to present complex financial data clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
