Operations Supervisor - Project Manager

We are currently seeking an Operations Supervisor to join our team in Andover within our Highways Division. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the efficient and safe operations of our field‑based HGV Engineers and Operatives who carry out cleaning, surveys and some repairs work on highways.

Hours:

50 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 6am‑4pm.

Salary: £38,000‑£44,000 per annum.

• Assist with planning and coordinating the activities of the engineering team to ensure tasks are completed on time and to the required standard.
• Act as the first point of contact for the operatives and support them with problem solving for any drainage related issues.
• Customer/Client interaction – providing timescales and answering any questions or queries.
• Perform Health & Safety audits on‑site and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Ensure the team has the necessary equipment, information, and resources to complete work efficiently and safely.
• Assist in managing the company's vehicles and plant within the depot, ensuring they are properly calibrated, serviced, and maintained.
• Maintain the fleet and equipment in a condition that reflects the company's professional image and commitment to Health & Safety.
• Oversee the efficient scheduling of work to maximise productivity and asset usage.

• Previous experience in drainage or utilities is preferred, but not essential.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team of field‑based engineers.
• A full UK driving licence is required.
• Ability to schedule and prioritise tasks effectively to optimise workflow and asset usage.
• SMTS (if applicable).
