We have an exciting opportunity for a Yard Labourer to join Stannah, based at Stephenson Close, Andover. This role involves maintaining a high standard of cleanliness across the yard and internal areas, managing day‑to‑day recycling waste, and supporting yard operations, including loading and unloading waste vehicles and carrying out additional yard duties as required.

As a Yard Labourer, you will work 22 hours a week: 08:00 – 12:30 Monday to Thursday, 08:00 – 12:00 Friday on a permanent contract.

To be successful as a Yard Labourer it is essential that you have previous experience working in a yard or industrial environment and a good understanding of health and safety procedures.
Forklift counterbalance experience is essential
, and experience working with recycling equipment would be desirable.

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of yard, storage areas, and work spaces
• Manage recycling waste and dispose of packaging, scrap metal, and wood
• Load and unload waste vehicles as required
• Operate equipment including forklift (counterbalance), sweeping machines, compactors, and hoovers
• Carry out general maintenance tasks such as sweeping, debris removal, and seasonal snow/ice clearing
• Support deliveries and assist with logistics when required
• Work in accordance with all Health & Safety, environmental, and safe systems of work

• Valid counterbalance forklift licence
• Previous yard, warehouse, or labouring experience (advantageous)
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• High standards of cleanliness, reliability, and flexibility
