HGV Class 2 Driver

The Best Connection Employment Group are currently seeking HGV Class 2 Drivers for one of our major clients in Andover.

Applicants must have experience using chains for securing loads.

£16.50 per hour

£25.99 per hour for overtime

Monday to Friday

05:00 - until finished (day shifts)

This role offers a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate

• Operate a Class 2 vehicle delivering metal goods to various locations
• Secure loads safely using chains and other appropriate equipment
• Perform complete pre and post operation inspection of the vehicle (tyre pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls)
• Report any safety issues on standard reports
• Adhere to assigned delivery schedule and follow all job directives precisely
• Interact with dispatchers and others on a daily basis to ensure all tasks are carried out in a timely and professional manner
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures

• Category C Licence
• CPC
• Digi Tacho
• Experience using chains for load securing
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test

The successful candidate will possess a current and valid Category C Licence, Digi Tacho and CPC card, along with proven experience in using chains for securing loads.
