Novogradac & Company LLP seeks a Senior Accountant to join our fast‑growing firm. The Senior Accountant will manage tax, audit and other assignments with minimal supervision, supervise and mentor Staff, solve problems independently, strengthen client relationships and increase team profitability. Remote or hybrid work arrangements may be available.
Your Contributions And Responsibilities- Complete tax and audit projects with minimal oversight
- Conduct thorough engagement reviews
- Accept increasing responsibility for engagement management
- Identify potential problem areas and propose effective solutions
- Gather and analyze data, interpret results, compile reports and make recommendations
- Maintain professional, responsive client relationships
- Seek and complete industry training courses
- Manage time efficiently to enhance team profitability
- Supervise and mentor Staff Accountants
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Work toward obtaining a CPA license if not already obtained
- Strong understanding of accounting and tax rules
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Intellectual curiosity
- Accurate, time‑efficient work with strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational and follow‑through skills
- Prioritize a fast‑paced workload and manage shifting priorities
- Accept constructive feedback and make adjustments

- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and report writing tools
- Maintain a professional demeanor with coworkers and clients
- Meet internal deadline requirements (time entry, billing, etc.)
- Available to work evenings, weekends and travel domestically as needed
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (advanced degree a plus) and 3‑5 years of public accounting experience. Ability to sit for the CPA exam or pass a CPA section. CPA license is a plus.
Experience with affordable housing, low‑income housing tax credits, opportunity zones, renewable energy tax credits, HUD programs, community development and related areas is helpful but not mandatory.

- Compensation $89,000 – $110,000 depending on experience
