Trueline’s client, a well-established heavy civil construction firm based in Massachusetts, is seeking an experienced Estimator/Project Manager to join their growing team. This full-time position offers the chance to lead both the estimating and project management functions on complex site development work throughout the Greater Boston area. • Oversee full project lifecycle—from preconstruction through closeout—for site development and heavy civil projects
• Develop detailed cost estimates, scopes of work, and bid packages
• Coordinate closely with field teams to ensure plans are executable and aligned with budget
• Interface with clients, engineers, and subcontractors to maintain clear communication and expectations
• Manage project schedules, budgets, RFIs, and submittals
• Lead value engineering efforts and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Prepare and track change orders, forecasts, and progress reports
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards
• Serve as the main point of contact for project execution and delivery

• 7+ years of experience in heavy civil construction with a background in both estimating and project management
• Strong knowledge of earthwork, utilities, roadway, and site development scopes
• Proven ability to manage costs, timelines, and subcontractor coordination
• Experience preparing accurate estimates and bids based on project specs and drawings
• Proficiency in construction management software and Excel
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Familiarity with public and private bid processes in Massachusetts
• Experience working on projects in the Greater Boston area
• Working knowledge of scheduling tools like MS Project or Primavera
