High School Math Teacher

Andover Public Schools (APS) seeks a dedicated educator to join our high school mathematics department. APS is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment, valuing the identities of all students and upholding high expectations for every learner.

• Integrate social learning into the classroom and foster an identity‑safe, empathetic, active‑learning community.
• Develop and implement lesson plans for five math classes that clearly align with the 2017 Massachusetts Curriculum Framework for Mathematics.
• Communicate regularly with students and families, involving families as partners in their child’s education.
• Collaborate with all team members, including special educators, instructional coaches, paraprofessionals, interventionists, and other support personnel.
• Assess students regularly and refine and differentiate instruction based on assessment data and student needs.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering productive and collaborative relationships with a diverse staff and student body.
• Show expertise with the 2017 Massachusetts Curriculum Framework for Mathematics.
• Display a strong work ethic, growth mindset, and classroom community‑building skills, including restorative justice approaches to discipline.
• Obtain a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred).
• Hold a Massachusetts Teacher Certification in 9‑12 mathematics.
