Special Education Instructional Assistant - T3 Program

Under the direction of the special education teacher and/or the Special Education Program Head, and in collaboration with classroom teachers, perform instructional or self-help tasks designed to enhance learning, behavior, social-emotional development, Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), and access to the general curriculum for students with identified educational disabilities. The following duties are illustrative of the work performed:

Minimum requirements include a minimum of two years of college or equivalent experience working with children, understanding student curriculum, and the ability to implement multiple teacher-directed activities. Knowledge of computer applications, including classroom and adaptive technologies, is essential.
