Summer, PALS or (MS)2 Teacher - Math and Science
Become a summer teaching faculty member at Phillips Academy, a premier boarding school located just 21 miles north of Boston. The role is available for the June 23 – August 2, 2026 summer session.
Program details:
- Summer Session: a five‑week residential program in both the Upper School and Lower School. More than 75 courses are offered across disciplines.
- Mathematics & Science for Minority Students (MS)2: a residential STEM scholarship program focusing on rigorous curriculum and leadership development.
- PALS: a partnership that brings motivated Lawrence middle school students to campus for a tuition‑free academic enrichment program.
Responsibilities include teaching two courses per term, providing house counseling, coaching an afternoon activity, and actively participating in on‑campus life (chaperoning, attending meetings, and supporting the residential community). Teachers will typically meet for approximately 1½ hours daily, 5–6 days per week.
Compensation: on‑campus residential teachers earn a starting salary of $6,800–$9,700 annually, depending on program, number of courses taught, and experience. Additional stipends of $250–$700 may be available for supplemental roles.
