A CAD Engineer job opportunity is open with our client in Andover, MA. The individual is responsible for developing and maintaining the Global electronics library using the Cadence tool set. As part of the Global Engineering Services team, you will support a diverse set of engineers around the globe. To be considered for this role you will have the ability to work in a fast‑paced engineering services group supporting multiple time zones within the US and internationally.

Job Duties
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining the Global electronics library using the Cadence tool set.
  • As part of the Global Engineering Services team, support a diverse set of engineers around the globe.
  • Work with schematic symbols and footprint concepts and tools such as Cadence Allegro and System Capture.
  • Create footprints by reading device datasheets and/or application notes.
  • Build schematic symbols for schematic development.
  • Provide accurately built symbols and footprints to electrical engineers.
  • Support and maintain the client librarian revision control system.
  • Support the engineering community when issues arise.
  • Work with cutting‑edge technologies from Intel, NVIDIA, Xilinx, Altera, Broadcom, among others.
  • Create footprints and schematics for PCB assembly design.
Knowledge/Skills/Education/Experience
  • Experience with cutting‑edge technologies from Intel, NVIDIA, Xilinx, Altera, Broadcom, among others.
  • Excellent math skills.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Familiar with electronic part datasheets.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings.
  • Familiarity with creating schematic symbols and PCB footprints.
  • Library management experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced engineering services group supporting multiple time zones within the US and internationally.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Cadence and Allegro experience.
  • Knowledge of Cadence Pulse.
  • AutoCAD experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced engineering services group supporting multiple time zones within the US and internationally.
  • Excellent math skills.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
