Skyworks is an innovator of high-performance analog semiconductors whose solutions power the wireless networking revolution. We are seeking an RF Validation Engineer – Summer/Fall Co‑Op for the Andover location. This internship will run from June/July to December 2026 and offers hands‑on experience developing advanced, state‑of‑the‑art RF front‑end modules with industry‑leading engineers.
Responsibilities- Work with experienced engineers to validate/develop RF products such as LNA, RF switches, couplers, and integrated front‑end module products.
- Measure RF products’ performance across supply, temperature, and frequency.
- Create compliance matrices against spec, plot results and analyze data.
- Participate in and present at data reviews.
- Perform lab testing using standard RF test equipment.
- Collaborate with design engineers to optimize matching circuits and verify designs.
- Work collaboratively with other engineers and technicians.
- Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering BS or MS/Ph.D. program; must return to school after completing the Co‑Op.
- Available for a 6‑month Co‑Op term (July 2026 – Dec 2026).
- Knowledge of RF parameters (Gain, NF, insertion loss, return loss, harmonics, IMD, IIP2/3, VSWR, etc.).
- Experience using RF equipment such as oscilloscope, VNA, spectrum analyzer, RF sources.
- Strong background in RF and microwave design.
- Experience with design tools such as ADS/HFSS and/or Cadence Virtuoso.
- Desire to learn, grow, and make an impact.
- Strong career interest in RF/microwave testing and engineering.
- Willingness to share knowledge and collaborate with others.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Knowledge of coding is a plus.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
The typical pay range for an engineering intern in the U.S. is USD $26.00 – $47.50 per hour; for a non‑engineering intern it is USD $22.50 – $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on education level, duties, requirements, and location.
