Here’s the thing. This is not a hands‑down PCB layout role.
Our Client is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer who can step into a hands‑on R&D environment, lead PCB design initiatives, and take real ownership of hardware from concept through manufacturing. If you enjoy solving complex electrical problems, mentoring junior engineers, and working on products that live in real‑world industrial environments, this role is worth a look.
What you’ll be working on- Leading one or more PCB design projects for new and legacy electronic products
- Designing and releasing schematics and PCB layouts using Cadence Allegro (or similar tools)
- Supporting full product lifecycle activities, from early design through manufacturing release
- Creating and managing BOMs, part numbers, and fabrication documentation
- Collaborating with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve design and production issues
- Participating in engineering change reviews and supporting root‑cause analysis for hardware issues
- Hands‑on testing and troubleshooting using standard lab equipment
- Mentoring junior electrical engineers and helping drive design best practices
- 8+ years of experience in electrical or electronic product design
- Strong foundation in analog, digital, and/or power electronics
- Experience designing PCBs that meet electrical, EMC, safety, thermal, and DFM/DFA requirements
- Comfortable working independently and making sound engineering trade‑off decisions
Prior experience releasing designs to manufacturing and supporting production builds - Familiarity with PLM tools such as Windchill (or similar systems)
- Ability to work cross‑functionally with mechanical, manufacturing, and project teams
- Experience qualifying components such as IGBTs, magnetics, capacitors, thyristors, and fans
- Exposure to control systems or industrial automation
- Knowledge of Ladder Logic, GE Proficy, or Modicon Control Expert
You’ll be joining a collaborative R&D team that values engineering judgment, practical problem‑solving, and ownership. This is a chance to work on meaningful hardware, influence design decisions, and play a visible role in bringing complex electronic products to life.
If this sounds like the kind of role where you’d thrive, we’d love to connect.
