What You Will Do- Collaborate with senior engineers and subject‑matter experts to conduct electrical component evaluations and root cause failure analysis, including visual photo‑documentation, electrical testing, non‑destructive troubleshooting, environmental testing, x‑ray evaluation, destructive testing, decapsulation, cross‑sections, SEM evaluation, and detailed final reporting.
- Operate laboratory equipment such as microscopes, oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, LCR analyzers, curve tracers, semiconductor parameter analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, frequency generators, signal generators, power meters, hi‑pot testers, megohmmeters, laser millers, plasma etchers, chemical etchers, bond pullers, etc.
- Work on several analyses concurrently and collaborate across disciplines such as materials and chemistry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
- Hands‑on experience in mechanical and/or electrical hardware
- Knowledge of reading electrical schematics and circuit analysis
- Familiarity with component data sheets and drawings
- Data collection and presentation skills to write cogent reports and present findings
- Technical working knowledge of electrical components and their application
Location:
Andover, MA – onsite. Salary range: $57,200 – $108,800 USD. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, flexible schedules, paid time off, parental leave, and holidays.
