About the Role:
An industry-leading organization in industrial automation and energy management solutions is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (PCB Designer) to join its R&D team.
This role offers the opportunity to lead multiple PCB design initiatives
, contribute across the full product lifecycle, and mentor junior engineers while working on both new and legacy products.
You’ll be at the forefront of high-impact PCB design projects
, collaborating with global engineering teams and supporting manufacturing, quality, and product innovation efforts.
- Lead multiple PCB design projects from concept to manufacturing.
- Work within a global R&D environment using industry-standard tools.
- Hybrid schedule with consistent onsite collaboration.
- Strong emphasis on technical leadership and mentorship.
- Exposure to complex, real-world electrical and electronic systems.
- Hands-on involvement in troubleshooting, testing, and product qualification.
- Design, develop, and improve printed circuit boards using Cadence Allegro.
- Create schematics, BOMs, part numbers, and release documentation for manufacturing.
- Manage design data, fabrication files, and documentation in Windchill PDM.
- Resolve design-to-fabrication issues and support vendor interactions.
- Participate in engineering change orders (ECOs) and manufacturing reviews.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality, and Project teams.
- Independently troubleshoot, test, and optimize electrical designs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical, safety, EMC, and regulatory standards.
- 8–10 years of experience in Electrical/Electronic Product Design.
- Strong background in analog and/or digital circuit design.
- Proven experience leading PCB design releases and qualifications.
- Hands‑on knowledge of power electronics and components (IGBTs, magnetics, capacitors, fans, etc.).
- Experience with test equipment: oscilloscopes, AC/DC sources, multimeters, data loggers.
- Ability to design PCBs meeting electrical, thermal, mechanical, EMC, and DFM/DFA requirements.
- Experience with PLM tools (Allegro, Windchill PDM, or similar).
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
- Knowledge of Ladder Logic
, GE Proficy, or Modicon Control Expert (a plus). - Proficiency with MS Teams, Word, Excel, and Access.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across all levels.

Minimum 3 days onsite (Monday–Thursday preferred). - Normal office hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST.
