Responsibilities

As a Trauma Sales Representative you will act as a technical consultant in the Extremities Orthopedics portfolio. Your main duties include converting physicians/accounts through sales calls, providing on‑call clinical case coverage in the operating room, and training surgeons on Smith+ Nephew products through education and programs in your territory. You will work cross‑divisionally with podiatric and orthopedic surgeons, hospitals, OR staff, Sterile Processing Department (SPD), administration, clinicians, and researchers to increase awareness and adoption of our products.

The territory will manage a 24/7 call rotation within the team.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum four years sales experience in the medical device industry, specifically selling orthopedic products or as an EMS/Paramedic.
  • Preferred experience in the healthcare industry, specifically selling orthopedic products or as an EMT/Paramedic.
  • Proven track record selling/converting business at the surgeon or hospital level.
  • Experience leading/mentoring team members and new sales representatives.
Requirements

Travel: within designated sales territory with 2–4 overnights a month. Infrequent national travel for events and conferences.

All field sales professionals that are required to gain entry into healthcare facilities to perform the basic remit of their role must successfully complete our credentialing process, which often includes COVID‑19 vaccine management.
