Raytheon is seeking a Sheet Metal Operator B to lay out, fabricate, construct, and inspect complex sheet metal parts for experimental, developmental, and production assignments.

• Perform general maintenance and housekeeping of tools and equipment.
• Maintain records, move materials, and follow safety rules.
• Utilize precision measuring equipment to perform non‑FAIR inspections on parts and assemblies.
• Work from oral and written instructions, engineering sketches, and computer instructions.
• Set up, lay out, fabricate, construct, and assemble a wide range of complex experimental, developmental, and production sheet metal parts.
• Calculate complex angles, lengths, bends, and odd‑shaped parts using geometry, trigonometry, and shop mathematics; calculate weld shrinkage.
• Set up and operate all relevant machines and equipment; improvise tooling, fixtures, and templates as required.
• Perform intricate bench work such as filing, grinding, and buffing to fit parts and obtain desired finish.
• Perform all rework to sheet metal units received from vendors and others.
• Interface with support personnel to address and solve problems associated with their field of expertise.
• Advance or retrieve product, material, and tooling for self and others.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Over 1 year of trades training in sheet metal work.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sheet metal fabrication.

• Competitive starting wage of $31.74 per hour.
• 2nd Shift hours: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM at Andover, MA.
• Onsite role with full benefits package.
