Machine Operator - 1st Shift

$18-$23/hour | 4-Day Workweek | Tuesday-Friday, 6 A.M.

-4:30 P.M. | Overtime Available

Shawsheen Coating & Converting is hiring full-time Machine Operators to join our 1st shift team in Andover, MA
. This is a hands-on manufacturing opportunity for someone who is dependable, safety-minded, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. You will help operate textile winding or slitting equipment, monitor quality, complete production documentation, and support daily production goals.

Previous machine operation, manufacturing, or textile experience is a plus, but not required. We are looking for someone who is willing to learn, follows procedures, communicates well with the team, and takes pride in producing quality work.

• Starting pay of $18-$23 per hour, based on experience and knowledge.
• 4-day workweek:
  Tuesday-Friday, 6 A.M.

• Load and operate textile winding or slitting machines.
• Monitor equipment and production to help meet daily quality and output goals.
• Follow work instructions, production schedules, and established operating procedures.
• Complete production paperwork accurately and on time.
• Monitor product quality and report any issues or concerns.
• Communicate equipment, production, quality, or safety issues to the Shift Supervisor or Plant Manager.
• Follow all company safety and environmental requirements and procedures.
• Wear required personal protective and hygiene equipment, including safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and hair protection.
• Work closely with your team to keep production running safely and efficiently.

Regular 1st shift schedule: Tuesday-Friday, 6 A.M.

-4:30 P.M, working four 10-hour shifts per week. Overtime is routinely available.

• Previous machine operator, production, or manufacturing experience is a plus, but not required.
• Textile winding, coating, slitting, or similar machine experience is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Dependable and able to maintain consistent attendance.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and following established safety procedures.
• Able to work and communicate effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
• Willing and able to work 10-hour shifts and overtime as needed.
• Able to reliably commute to our Andover facility.

Our Andover facility is accessible by public transportation. We are approximately a 3-minute walk from the Ballardvale MBTA station on the Haverhill Line and about 12 minutes by train from downtown Lawrence.
