Have 2+ years of veterinary tech experience but not officially licensed? That’s cool — we see you, we value you, and we want you on our team. If you’ve ever placed a catheter with one hand while calming down a nervous chihuahua with the other (and answering the phone with your elbow), you’re our kind of people.

Who we are: Andover Animal Hospital is a full-service, 10-doctor, AAHA-accredited animal hospital in Andover, MA. We care for dogs, cats, birds, pocket pets, and exotics (yes, really — lizards, snakes, rabbits, and the occasional sugar glider who thinks it’s a flying squirrel on Red Bull). If you like a little unpredictability in your patient roster and don’t flinch at feathers or scales, you’ll fit right in.

• Be a true tech — not just a glorified restrainer or treat dispenser. You’ll work alongside our doctors to provide compassionate care to a whole zoo of species and be empowered to take the lead on things like:

• Diagnostic sample collection
• Venipuncture & IV catheter placement (bonus if you don’t need to tape your own fingers together)
• Radiology (including exotic critters with very strong opinions about staying still)
• Anesthesia and surgical monitoring
• Pain management and patient comfort
• Dental radiographs, cleanings, and possibly identifying what that dog just ate
• General exotic-wrangling finesse and Mac Gyver-level problem solving

• You’ve got 2+ years of experience in a veterinary setting
• You’re not licensed, but you’ve got the knowledge, instincts, and hustle of someone who is
• You’re cool under pressure and can handle a minor chaos spiral without sacrificing your snack stash
• You’re adaptable, collaborative, and you laugh at least once per shift
• You care about patients, clients, your team, and maybe naming every orange cat “Cheddar”
