Role:Hardware Quality Specialist – Operations Quality Team
As a key member of the Operations Quality Team, you will ensure product and process quality with an emphasis on product compliance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
What You Will Do- Inspect products for compliance with IPC/WHMA‑A‑620, JSTD‑001, and MIL‑HDBK‑454.
- Identify non‑conformances and determine disposition for non‑conforming material.
- Conduct walk‑back feedback to assemblers and inspectors to reduce recurrence of escapes.
- Participate in MFG DPT (Defect Prevention Team) meetings to align on priorities, drive containment, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Perform process audits, walks, operator observations, and engage in MFG team discussions to drive process enhancements and reduce variation.
- Identify supplier escapes/issues and ensure proper containment and backflow to the Supplier Quality Management team.
- Verify and validate improvements to assess effectiveness.
- Typically requires an AAA/AS degree (or other 2‑year post‑high‑school training) with a minimum of 8 years related experience.
- Manufacturing process experience in assembly, inspection, or test.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
- Experience with IPC/WHMA‑A‑620, JSTD‑001, and MIL‑HDBK‑454.
- Strong familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality management systems.
- Six Sigma, ASQ certifications.
- Proficiency in pareto analysis, cause/effect diagrams, and process mapping.
- Ability to facilitate cross‑functional teams in systematic improvement activities (e.g., 6‑sigma, lean manufacturing).

This position requires a DoD security clearance. The DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS) handles the security clearance process.
Salary Range: $56,000 – $112,000 USD. The range is a good faith estimate and may vary based on experience, location, education, and key skills.
