Jobbrief:
We are seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect who bridges high-level strategic vision with hands-on technical execution. In this role, you will define and maintain the target-state architecture across multiple enterprise platforms, business capabilities, and engineering domains.
Unlike traditional ivory-tower architect roles, this position demands direct engagement in the codebase and infrastructure. You will be expected to build prototypes, establish shared reference implementations, resolve complex cross-system incidents, and directly implement modern cloud, Dev Ops, and CI/CD foundations. You will also serve as a technical anchor, mentoring engineering teams, setting enterprise standards, and balancing technical debt with long‑term business enablement.
Theimpact you'll make:
- Designs and maintains enterprise-level architecture spanning multiple platforms, domains, and business capabilities, ensuring individual system designs composed into a coherent whole.
- Translates business strategy and capability needs into target‑state architectures, transition roadmaps, and sequencing plans that engineering teams can execute against.
- Owns reference architectures, patterns, and enterprise standards for a set of domains, drives their adoption across delivery teams, and leads the design review and governance forums that uphold them.
- Defines integration and data architecture across systems, including API strategy, event and messaging patterns, master data ownership, and system-of-record boundaries.
- Assesses the current‑state landscape to identify redundancy, technical debt, and integration gaps, then recommends rationalization, modernization, or build‑versus‑buy paths with cost, risk, and operational trade‑offs made explicit.
- Works hands‑on in the codebase and in infrastructure as needed: prototypes and proves out architectural approaches, builds reference implementations and shared libraries, and contributes production code alongside delivery teams.
- Implements and improves Dev Ops capability directly, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, containerization, and observability, rather than only specifying how they should work.
- Steps into delivery and incident response where architectural depth is the bottleneck, including debugging cross‑system failures, performance profiling, and remediation.
- Partners with security, privacy, and compliance functions so architectures meet regulatory, resilience, and data‑protection requirements by design.
- Guides and mentors development teams, solution and platform architects, and senior engineers, through architectural direction, design review, and code…
