Responsibilities
  • Always be compliant with all company and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Operate assigned home(s) to ensure company goals including meeting or exceeding budgets and clinical effectiveness set by the company and/or customers.
  • Support and supervise assigned Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), ensuring each has the training and skills to provide high‑quality care.
  • Maintain assigned home(s) and ensure good working order of facilities, systems, and furnishings.
  • Assign repairs and maintenance duties to staff when possible; contact the Beacon maintenance department or supervisor for facility maintenance issues.
  • Assist the direct supervisor with contracting approved services and evaluate contractors’ performance.
  • Maintain cleanliness of assigned home(s) and vehicle(s) by developing daily duties for all employees for each shift.
  • Communicate daily with the direct supervisor.
  • Manage on‑call responsibilities and report on‑call hours as needed.
  • Review or send important topics to the direct supervisor for monthly home meetings, prepare meeting rooms, and schedule staff.
  • Build positive relationships with referral sources, government and licensing agencies, and assist in coordinating admissions.
  • Collaborate with Beacon leadership and functional areas to improve care quality, compliance, and employee performance.
  • Maintain professional conduct and enforce the same from home staff when on duty.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or established by the company.
Regulatory, Contractual, and Accreditation Compliance Responsibilities
  • Contact the direct supervisor if regulatory agencies, adult protective services, investigating bodies, or police arrive at the home and cooperate with investigations.
  • Complete incident reports in the company electronic system and send a copy to the direct supervisor for approval; file the report in the incident record (IR) in the designated area.
  • Ensure that all incident report actions, corrective action plans (CAP), and plans of correction (POC) are implemented accurately and timely.
  • Assist the direct supervisor with annual documentation updates and inform them of status changes requiring updates.
  • Ensure compliance with employee training and certifications to meet licensing standards, recipient rights, and accrediting bodies.
  • Communicate with state and local regulators openly as a respected partner.
Census and Budget Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the direct supervisor, referrals, and the regional team to manage census, including leaves of absence (LOAs), to meet budgeted revenue targets.
  • Provide the direct supervisor with logs and documentation supporting care and other required documentation.
  • Manage payroll costs through recruitment/hiring, staff scheduling, and monitoring trends affecting costs such as no‑shows, terminations, and overtime.
  • Manage the home budget, petty cash, and individual funds in accordance with company policies, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Ensure accurate time‑and‑attendance and payroll reporting.
Staffing and Human Resources Responsibilities
  • Keep the direct supervisor informed of staffing changes or shortages.
  • Monitor and maintain employee scheduling and time worked to align with the annual budget.
