Position: RN Opportunity Specialized Student Care Near Green Valley Ranch, CO

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for a full-time, school-based position with a district near the Green Valley Ranch, CO area (east side of Denver). This role is ideal for a skilled nurse who is comfortable providing high‑acuity care in a school setting and supporting a medically fragile student on a daily basis.

Position Details:

Start Date: ASAP
End Date: May 21, 2026
Schedule: Full‑Time | 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday
Daily Shift: 7:30 AM – 3:45 PM
Setting: Onsite Only
Pay Rate: TBD (Based on Experience)
Number of Openings: 1
School Assignment: Single school site

Caseload Overview:

Provide 1:1 nursing care for a student with complex medical needs
Support a severely medically fragile student throughout the school day
Includes bus riding to and from school daily to ensure continuity of care
Work closely with school staff, administration, and related service providers

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct nursing care in accordance with physician orders and individualized care plans
  • Manage oxygen therapy, ostomy care, G‑tube feedings, suctioning
    , and other medical needs
  • Safely operate and assist with Hoyer lift transfers as required
  • Monitor student health status and respond appropriately to medical changes or emergencies
  • Maintain accurate documentation of medical care and daily observations
  • Collaborate with school teams to ensure a safe, inclusive learning environment
  • Support student participation in educational activities while maintaining medical safety
  • Ensure compliance with district policies, nursing standards, and state regulations
Requirements:
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of Colorado
  • Experience working with medically fragile or high‑acuity patients preferred
  • Comfortable with 1:1 care
    , mobility assistance, and daily transportation responsibilities
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to pass all required state and district background checks prior to start
