Position Overview
We are seeking a Seasonal Associate Park Services Specialist to work across multiple Anoka County parks, including Bunker Hills Regional Park, Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park, Lake George Regional Park, and Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Park Reserve. The role involves providing exceptional customer service, maintaining park operations, and ensuring the safety and protection of park property and natural resources.
Pay & Benefits- Hourly pay: $15.00 – $19.50 per hour (depending on experience, education, and qualifications).

- Travel between park sites required; exposure to outdoor work in all weather conditions.
- Indoor and outdoor county worksites, requiring moderate to vigorous physical activity.
- Regular lifting of 0–25 lbs., repeated bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, and prolonged walking on uneven terrain.
- Vision and hearing requirements for computer work, phone communication, and machine operation.
- Ability to drive a county vehicle, pickup truck, or UTV; travel between sites may involve personal vehicle use.
- Work hours are varied, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with potential extended hours to meet park needs.
- Provide park guests with outstanding customer service and information on public safety and park property protection.
- Assist in greeting guests, opening and closing facilities, and replenishing funds at park locations.
- Support operation of visitor centers, gatehouses, cross‑country skiing facilities, and campground operations.
- Troubleshoot daily operational problems, perform basic repairs, and contact supervisors when needed.
- Respond to emergencies, including severe weather, medical incidents, and other incidents.
- Mediate and resolve customer complaints or concerns.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Successful completion of a criminal history and driver’s licence background check.
- First Aid/CPR/AED certification (preferred).
- Prior customer service experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze situations and determine the best course of action.
