Data Center Engineer

Job Overview

Data Center Engineer role at Apex Systems located at Joint Base Andrews, MD. Contract of 36‑48+ months at hourly rate $75–85. Requires Secret Clearance.

• Assess existing infrastructure, recommend growth, approve supporting devices.
• Coordinate logistics, stakeholder meetings, design systems for AC/DC power, UPS, HVAC, carrier infrastructure, cable plant.
• Produce design artifacts, diagrams, specifications, project documentation.
• Conduct site assessments, internal design meetings, construction reviews.
• Define processes and standards governing data center activities.
• Manage installation and maintenance of data center equipment; ensure compliance with security protocols.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years experience in civil engineering with focus on data center or mission critical facilities design.
• Experience managing hardware configuration baselines and data center strategy, planning, roadmap maintenance.
• Proficiency in building codes, regulations, standards.
• Secret clearance (eligible).
• W2 employment preferred.
