Ambulance New Brunswick is the provincial ambulance service provider. Our dispatchers respond to calls via the 911 system and direct EMS response; paramedics provide on-scene and en route medical care; the air ambulance crew transports critically ill or injured patients to specialized centers.
Our paramedics are trained to handle unpredictable clinical presentations, employing emergency techniques and a range of treatments. They are often the first on scene and remain until the job is complete.
Required Qualifications:
- You are entitled to work in Canada (Canadian citizenship, permanent resident status or work permit)
- Must demonstrate the ability to work efficiently as a member of the team and be able to work all shifts as assigned, maintaining a good attendance record
- Must have a high regard for confidentiality and patient safety
- Primary Care Paramedic program/course of over six months;

Additional requirements for your application:
- Current Resume and Cover Letter
- A copy of your PCP diploma from an accredited institution
- Proof of current registration with Paramedic Association of New Brunswick
- Proof of completion of a Physical Abilities Test (PAT) specific to working as a paramedic within the last 12 months
- Proof of valid CPR level C certification issued in the last 12 months
- Photocopy of front and back of valid Class 4 driver’s license (or equivalent) with minimum one year driving experience
- Driver's abstract; issued within the last 30 days
- Copy of any valid Driver’s course certificate i.e. CEVO, VFIS or NS VSP or equivalent issued within the last three years
- Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check; issued within the last 30 days
- Immunization Record (Tetanus Tdap) within the last 10 years, 2 MMR vaccines or lab evidenced immunity, 2 Varicella vaccines or lab evidenced immunity, 3 Hepatitis B doses and Lab evidenced immunity, TB Skin Test (2 step) and a 1-step in the last 12 months; if reactive a follow up chest x-ray; meeting with Employee Health and Wellness to ensure vaccinations are up to date by the time an offer is made
- Official Language Assessments (oral) in both French and English from the Department of Post-secondary Education, Training and Labour
- Additional training and/or education is highly valued.
