The Mechanic role is critical in ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of diesel trucks and related heavy machinery. This position involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining complex diesel engines, braking systems, fuel systems, and hydraulic components to minimize downtime and extend vehicle lifespan. The successful candidate will work closely with a team to troubleshoot mechanical issues, perform routine inspections, and implement preventative maintenance strategies.

Attention to detail and adherence to safety standards are paramount to protect both personnel and equipment. Ultimately, this role supports operational efficiency by delivering high-quality mechanical services that meet industry standards and customer expectations.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or in a similar mechanical repair role.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, braking systems, fuel systems, and hydraulics.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate diesel trucks as needed.

• Certification from a recognized diesel mechanic training program or technical school.
• Experience working with heavy-duty diesel trucks in a commercial or industrial setting.
• Familiarity with computerized diagnostic equipment and software.
• EPA certification for handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Perform detailed diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, braking systems, fuel systems, and hydraulic components of diesel trucks and heavy equipment.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, gasket replacements, alternator repairs, and brake adjustments to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
• Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical issues and recommend appropriate repairs or part replacements.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and labor hours.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize repair schedules and ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and regulatory compliance standards during all repair and maintenance activities.
• Stay updated on the latest diesel mechanic technologies and repair techniques through ongoing training and professional development.
