Senior Social Worker - APSN Chaoyang School

You shall be responsible for individual and group work, assessment, recommendations for financial assistance, crisis and risk management, conduct casework and manage case consultations.

• Supervise entry level SW or Associate SW to facilitate their work and professional growth.
• Individuals and Families:
  Assess, plan, provide intervention for students/clients and their families, in partnership with other professionals and school/centre personnel; provide timely progress and termination reports per Case Management Review procedure.
• Group Work, Therapy / Training:
  Provide training for caregivers and teachers; conduct group work programmes for students supporting their emotional development and growth.
• Financial Assessment and Assistance:
  Conduct professional assessment (information gathering, home visits), recommend/apply for subsidies per guidelines; assess and refer students/families to agencies; collaborate with community agencies for service delivery.
• Professional Consultation:
  Provide consultation to teachers/parents on services offered in Social/Human Services sector (e.g., VWOs, NCSS) and on external systems such as social care, healthcare, legal.

• A recognised Degree in Social Work or Graduate Diploma in Social Work.
• Eligible for professional registration with Singapore Association of Social Worker (SASW) Accreditation Board.
• Minimum 4-5 Years relevant experience in the industry.
• Experience working in a similar setting or SPED school will be an advantage.
• Able to handle the demands of the role, with excellent inter-personal skills and personality composition.
