Thishands-onleadershiproleisresponsiblefordevelopingaccurate,competitive,andprofitableestimates;managinganddevelopingestimatingpersonnel;improvingestimatingprocesses;andimplementingtechnologytoincreaseefficiencyandaccuracy.

Theidealcandidatehasstrongexperienceinindustrialmechanicalconstruction,process piping,equipment installation,fabrication,andlightcommercialconstruction.

Thesuccessfulcandidatewillcombinepracticalconstructionknowledgewithstronganalyticalskillsandtheabilityto Leveragedigitalestimatingtools,automation,historicalcostdata,andartificialintelligence(AI).

• Managetheestimatingprocessfrominitialprojectreviewthroughbidsubmissionandprojectturnover.
• Prepareandoverseedetailedestimatesforindustrialmechanicalandlightcommercialprojects.
• Review drawings,specifications,P&IDs,piping isometrics,bid documents,andcontractrequirements.
• Performandoverseequantitytakeoffsforprocesspiping,fabrication,valves,fittings,structural supports,mechanical equipment,rigging,insulation,coatings,foundations,pre-engineeredmetalbuildings,andrelatedconstructionscopes.
• Develop labor,material,equipment,subcontractor,indirect cost,andproductivityestimates.
• Solicit,evaluate,andcomparesupplierandsubcontractorquotations.
• Identifyscopegaps,exclusions,constructability concerns,cost assumptions,andprojectrisks.
• Leadestimatereviewsandpresentpricingstrategies,risks,andrecommendationstoseniormanagement.
• Coordinatewithoperationsandprojectmanagementtovalidateconstructionmethods,labor productivity,equipment requirements,manpower plans,and schedules.
• Leadprojecthandoffstooperationsfollowingaward.
• Trackbidresultsandcompareestimatedcostswithactualprojectperformancetoimprovefutureestimates.
• Maintainhistoricalcostdatabases,productivity benchmarks,andstandardizedestimatingprocedures.
• Support bid/no-biddecisionsandstrategicprojectpursuits.
• Lead,mentor,anddevelopestimatingpersonnelwhilemaintainingaccountabilityforestimatequalityanddeadlines.

• Evaluateandimplementestimatingsoftware,digitaltakeoffplatforms,bid-management tools,andothertechnologiesthatimproveestimatingperformance.
• Developconsistentdigitalestimatingworkflowsandintegratehistoricalprojectdataintofutureestimates.
• Identifyopportunitiestoautomaterepetitivetasksandusedataanalyticstoimprovecostforecastingandproductivity.
• EvaluateandimplementpracticalAIapplicationsfordrawingandspecificationreview,scope identification,quantity takeoffs,proposal development,bid comparisons,subcontractorbidleveling,andriskidentification.
• EstablishappropriatereviewprocedurestovalidateAI-generatedinformationandmaintainestimatingaccuracy.
• Recommendtechnologyinvestmentsbasedonmeasurableimprovementsinefficiency,accuracy,consistency,andreturnoninvestment.

• Preferred7–10yearsofconstructionestimatingexperience,includingexperienceasa
  
  Senior
  
  Estimator,Lead Estimator,Chief Estimator,or Estimating
  
  Manager.
• Experienceestimatingindustrialmechanical,petrochemical,chemical,manufacturing,energy,datacenter,and/orlightcommercialconstructionprojects.
• Strongknowledgeofprocesspiping,pipe fabrication,mechanicalequipmentinstallation,structural supports,andconstructionmethods.
• Abilitytointerpretconstructiondrawings,specifications,P&IDs,piping isometrics,andcontractdocuments.
• Strongunderstandingoflaborproductivity,crew composition,equipment utilization,material pricing,subcontractor costs,andprojectrisk.
• Demonstratedleadershipskillsandexperiencemanagingordevelopingestimatingpersonnel.
