The University of Texas Medical Branch is hiring for Imaging Technologist I or II, Multi-Modal CT & X-Ray (Angleton, Fri-Sun 7a - 7p).
Responsibilities- The Multi-modality Technologist I provides quality imaging and patient care within two medical imaging modalities in any combination (MRI, CT, Mammography, or X-ray as applicable). Performs imaging procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients in a clinic or hospital setting as requested by the ordering physician or other licensed provider.
- Work under general supervision of a Radiologist for diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established protocols.
- Explain procedures to patients and ensure informed consent and competency in the procedures being performed.
- Obtain diagnostic quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist and provide patient care during procedures.
- Work a minimum of 40% of the time in the second modality and be flexible for shifts and support at UTMB Campuses as needed.
- Work schedule:
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 7:00am to 7:00pm.
Education & Experience
- Associate of Applied Science or graduate of an accredited Radiology program
- Enrolled in or have completed a second Imaging Modality program
Licenses, Registrations or Certifications
- Certification from one of the following credentialing organizations: ARRT (R), ARDMS, RVT-VT, NMTCB, or ARMRIT
- Registration as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT-GC) through the Texas Medical Board, if applicable
- Registry in a second modality must be completed within 18 months of hire or transfer date
- American Heart Association BLS
- Six months of experience in the primary imaging modality

Performs imaging procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients as requested. The procedures are performed under general supervision of a Radiologist and follow established protocols. The Technologist must explain procedures to patients and ensure they are competent, obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation.
