Family Law Paralegal (Full-Time)

Scott M. Brown & Associates, a busy multi-attorney family law firm, is seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join our team. If you’re organized, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced legal environment, this is an opportunity to do meaningful work while being part of a supportive and collaborative firm.

What You’ll Do
  • Draft and prepare family law pleadings, including divorce petitions, decrees, temporary orders, motions, property inventories, and discovery.
  • Prepare and review legal documents such as deeds, QDROs, and correspondence.
  • Handle e-filing in Texas state courts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines.
  • Manage attorney calendars and schedule hearings, meetings, mediations, and depositions.
  • Maintain case files and assist attorneys with trial preparation.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel.
  • Perform general administrative duties, including filing, deadline tracking, and answering phones.
What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years of family law paralegal experience required (5+ years preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of Texas family law procedures and court rules
    .
  • Experience with e-filing systems and legal software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
